Purple Little Bird

Purple Little Bird loves everything purple. His house is purple.  His fence, his garden, and his mailbox are all purple. Purple little bird works hard to keep his house perfect, but no matter what he does, something isn’t right. So he goes looking for that just right place. He tries bear’s house. It is nice and cozy, but it is too dark.  He goes to a bunch of other animals’ houses.  They all are not perfect to him.  Will he find that perfect place or will he give up? Read the book and find out.

Purple Little Bird is written by Greg Foley. The pictures are very artistic and colorful.  The story itself amazed me because Purple Little Bird is an interesting character.  He isn’t content what he has, but he learns an important lesson.  I recommend this book for ages 6-10.

UFOs from the Unexplained series by Scholastic

The Unexplained UFOs
“Something strange happened in Roswell, New Mexico on July 14, 1947.”  People saw a glowing object from the sky. They also heard a loud noise. The next morning a local villager found some of the ruins. This area became known as Area 51!
Some people believe it is a wrecked UFO, unidentified flying object.  Others think it is more than just a wrecked UFO. They think there are aliens’ bodies there too.  UFOs, part of the Unexplained series by Scholastic, tells about the mystery of the history of these sightings.  The author is David Wencel.  This book is very interesting.
Other books in the Unexplained series are Bigfoot, Haunted Houses, ESP, and Ghosts
